Desert Harvest Launches First Unique CBD to Include Aloe Vera!
I ended my last blog post with a teaser about an exciting announcement to follow. Given that the post was all about CBD, I’m sure some of you have already guessed what it might be, but for those who are still in the dark, drumroll please…!
Desert Harvest has launched a brand new CBD supplement!! I realise that CBD products have exploded in popularity over the last few years, so you might be thinking, “So what? I can get CBD from anywhere.” This is not just any CBD though – it is a world first, because it is the first ever CBD product to include aloe vera! The observant among you might have noticed that the packaging of most Desert Harvest nutritional supplements carries the phrase, “Contains X mg of freeze-dried aloe vera powder which has been shown in studies to enhance the absorption of nutrients.” It is precisely for this reason that Desert Harvest have added aloe vera powder to their CBD capsules, because a nutritional supplement can only be as effective as your body’s ability to use it. Prior to launch, Desert Harvest CBD Capsules were studied at the University of Colorado IC42 Lab where they showed a 25% higher level of absorption into the bloodstream than off-the-shelf CBD capsules without any agents to increase bioavailability. We think that’s pretty impressive!
CBD products are now fully legal in the UK, but they can only be either prescribed by a licensed medical professional, which I am not, or sold as food supplements. Where they are sold as food supplements, it is not legal to make any sort of medical claims about them. If you want to learn more about CBD, please read my previous post where I discuss CBD in general (i.e. not this product in particular) and direct you to clinical studies that you might find useful.
Desert Harvest’s CBD Capsules are appropriately labelled as a dietary supplement and the CBD is extracted from hemp grown in North Carolina. It is pure CBD Isolate and does not contain any THC. As discussed in the previous post, it is THC that is responsible for the ‘high’ feelings recreational cannabis confers on users – CBD does not have these same psychoactive properties and using CBD products with low/no THC will not make you high. I know some people are unsure if there is a stigma around using CBD products and I want to reassure you that they are not the same as recreational cannabis. Desert Harvest’s CBD Capsules are not derived from any kind of restricted or illegal cannabis – they are derived from Cannabis sativa, which is also known as industrial hemp. They are fully legal in the UK, most EU countries, and many other countries around the world.
Each Desert Harvest CBD capsule contains 48mg of CBD plus 275mg of organic, freeze-dried aloe vera. Given the results of the University of Colorado study, this may be equivalent to a higher content CBD product that does not contain agents to enhance bioavailability. Full details and usage information will be included on the product page once we have the CBD capsules instore at Tiny Pioneer. They are on their way across the Atlantic as I write, so hopefully they will arrive soon!
If any of you decide to try the Desert Harvest CBD Capsules, I’ll be really interested to hear how they work out for you!
