Outlet Aloe 600 Capsules (180 Capsules)
Please read the whole of this page carefully before making a purchase or contacting us.
This is an ‘outlet’ product and while it is perfectly safe for general use, it might not be suitable for those with interstitial cystitis. You must read all of the information below before deciding whether to buy it or not. We are unable to help you decide.
As some of you may be aware, we recently received an incorrect batch of aloe vera. Fortunately, our stringent quality assurance process detected the issue before the product went onto general sale. However, in order to provide customers with the most accurate acemannan per capsule data, we usually choose to independently test our finished products rather than our raw materials. This means that the incorrect aloe was only detected after manufacture.
We therefore have a batch of Aloe 600 Capsules which do not meet our usual specifications. After speaking with some of our regular customers, we have decided to offer them as an outlet product, in case anyone would like to use them.
The outlet Aloe 600 differs from our usual Aloe 600 in the following ways:
- It is a whole leaf product rather than an inner leaf product.
- It is lower in acemannan. Each capsule contains 30mg of acemannan. As a basis for comparison, our Aloe 200 provided 36mg of acemannan per capsule and our original batch of Aloe 600 provided 70mg per capsule.
- It is higher in citrate and/or citric acid. Our previous Aloe 600 Capsules contained around 12mg of citric acid per capsule; these outlet Aloe 600 contain 177mg of citrate and/or citric acid per capsule. For reference, we have found that other aloe vera products aimed at the interstitial cystitis market contain between 41mg and 90mg of citrate and/or citric acid per capsule.
With regards to the citrate/citric acid, like many fruits and vegetables, aloe vera naturally contains some. The laboratory advised us that they have never seen an aloe vera sample with none at all. You will therefore get some citrate/citric acid in any good quality aloe vera product. However, the aloe vera within these outlet Aloe 600 Capsules has had a significant amount of citrate or citric acid added. For this reason, we cannot be sure of its suitability for interstitial cystitis sufferers.
For your information:
- 1 teaspoon of lemon juice squeezed straight from the fruit contains around 235mg of citric acid (lemon juice is irritating to some IC sufferers, but helpful for others – it has an alkalising effect on the urine and can provide symptomatic relief from UTIs when mixed with bicarbonate of soda)
- 1 teaspoon of lime juice squeezed straight from the fruit contains around 230mg of citric acid
- 1 teaspoon of ready-to-drink orange juice contains around 85mg of citric acid (orange juice is irritating to most IC sufferers)
- 1 teaspoon of ready-to-drink grapefruit juice contains around 125mg of citric acid
If you decide to purchase this outlet Aloe 600, please note that the lid and label will have been marked with a black cross. This is to make it visually distinct from all of our other products and also to indicate that it has been purchased as an outlet item.
The price of this outlet Aloe 600 reflects its lower acemannan and higher citrate content compared to our usual aloe vera products. Please note that there will be no returns and no refunds on this item. Do not make a purchase if you are not happy with these conditions.
In purchasing an outlet Aloe 600 product, you are accepting as terms of sale that:
- The product is non-returnable and non-refundable.
- The product contains citric acid.
- We cannot guarantee the suitability of the product for use by individuals with interstitial cystitis, painful bladder syndrome and other painful bladder conditions. We do not know if it could cause flares. If you experience aa worsening of bladder pain symptoms while using this product, cease use immediately.
- The packaging will bear substantial markings to distinguish it from our other products.
- The product information provided on this page supersedes and replaces any information provided on the original Aloe 600 page or, where applicable, on the product label.
If you do not accept these terms of sale, do not make a purchase. We are offering it for sale as a clearance item just in case anyone would like to make use of it. It will save wasted resources, may represent an economical option for those able to tolerate citric acid, and will offset some of our losses.
Directions Take three capsules twice a day, or as directed by a practitioner. Can be taken with or without food, but for best results take with some fluid. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake. Do not take if pregnant or breastfeeding. |
Ingredients Each capsule contains: 600mg of freeze-dried, aloe vera juice powder (200:1) comprising 68% aloe vera and 32% citrate/citric acid; 20mg of calcium carbonate; and 10mg of silicon dioxide. A silica sachet is added to absorb moisture and preserve freshness. Please leave the silica sachet in the container and keep the lid sealed when not in use. If the aloe capsules are exposed to moisture, the powder will become clumpy. This will not affect the efficacy, but it will make the capsules less visually appealing. |
Tiny says: These capsules contain less than half the acemannan of our usual Aloe 600 Capsules and have added citrate/citric acid. They are being offered at an extremely low price in case anyone without specific bladder requirements would like to use them as a general purpose aloe vera supplement. Once they are sold, they will not be replaced – this is a limited edition outlet item only. We hope to have our premium, high acemannan aloe vera products back in stock very soon. |
