Privacy Policy

This is the privacy policy for Tiny Pioneer and for the website tinypioneer.co.uk (the “Website”).  It sets out how we (Tiny Pioneer and the Website) might collect, use and store your information when you visit our Website, make a purchase, or contact us.  This privacy policy might occasionally be updated, so we suggest you review it from time to time.  If you are unhappy with any aspect of our privacy policy, please leave the Website and do not make any purchases from us.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and we will only share your information with:

  • The organisations necessary for us to process your orders
  • Law enforcement agencies, if required

Any information that you provide will be handled in accordance with this privacy policy.

Information we collect when you visit our Website

Device Information

Tiny Pioneer is hosted with Shopwired and we use cookies to better your experience while visiting the Website and to provide us with statistical information regarding the use of the Website.  Such information will not identify you personally.  Where applicable, this Website uses a cookie control system allowing you on your first visit to allow or disallow the use of cookies on your device.  This complies with legal requirements for websites to obtain explicit consent from users before leaving behind or reading files such as cookies on a user's device.

Cookies are small files saved to your device’s internet browser that track, save and store information about your interactions and usage of the Website.  This allows tinypioneer.co.uk and/or Shopwired to provide you with a tailored experience.  You are advised that if you wish to deny the use and saving of cookies from this Website onto your device, you should take necessary steps within your web browser’s security settings to block all cookies from this Website and its external serving vendors.  Please note that should you choose to decline cookies, you might be unable to access particular areas of our Website.  You can read more about our use of cookies in our Cookie Policy.

Personal Information

If you make a purchase from us (either through the Website or by any other means), if you register for an account on our Website, if you contact us through the Website, by email, or by any other means, you might be asked to provide personal information.  This might include:

  • Your name
  • Your address
  • Your telephone number
  • Your email address
  • Your date of birth
  • Any other information that you volunteer to us

We can only collect these if you give them to us willingly – we have no way of collecting them without your knowledge and active participation.  If you don’t want us to collect them, then do not place any orders with us or contact us in any way.

When you make a purchase on our website you may also be asked to enter your credit or debit card details. You may be redirected to a 'payment gateway' website to enter your card details, or you might be asked to enter these directly onto our website.

Your full credit or debit card details are never stored on any databases we hold.  You might be asked if you want to 'store' your purchase information for faster checkout at a later date; where you do store this information the full card information is never stored on any databases we hold.  Instead, we send the full information to our payment processor, who then send back a secure 'token' which we then use to place future purchases.  To help you identify stored cards, we may store the last 4 digits of the card, the type of card (e.g. Visa or MasterCard) and the expiry date.

Where you wish, you can always delete a stored card within your customer account

How we use Device Information

We use device information to help us screen for potential risk and fraud, to improve and optimise our Website by generating statistical information about how customers use it, and to analyse the success of any marketing and advertising campaigns.

How we use Personal Information

We use personal information to enable us to:

  • Fulfil any order that you place with us

  • Communicate with you in any way to which you have provided explicit consent
  • Screen for potential risk and fraud
  • Provide you with important information about our products and services

Sharing Your Information

We will share your information with third parties in their capacity as data processor on our behalf.  Our Website is hosted by Shopwired, so Shopwired process your data for us.  We use Google Analytics to monitor how people find and use our Website, so Google Analytics process data for us.  We use third party payment gateways Stripe and PayPal, so they process data for us.  We use couriers and postal services to dispatch orders, so they process data for us.

We might also share your information in order to comply with applicable laws and regulations, or to respond to any lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

We might also share your information with a third party if we sell our business or assets to that third party.

We do not sell your information or share it with any third parties not strictly necessary to the proper and lawful functioning of our business.

How We Store Your Information

We might transfer data that we collect from you to locations outside of the UK or European Economic area for processing and storing.  In addition, it might be processed by staff operating outside the UK or European Economic area who work for us or for one of our suppliers.  For example, such staff may be engaged in the processing and concluding of your order, the processing of your payment details and the provision of support services.  By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing.  We will take all reasonable steps to make sure that your data is treated securely and in agreement with this privacy policy.  (This essentially means that Stripe, PayPal and Google Analytics are not British or European companies.)

Data that our host, Shopwired, process and store for us is held on servers hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS). Shopwired does not hold data on any devices, databases or networks outside of AWS. Details relating to any transactions entered into via our site will be encrypted to ensure their safety. tinypioneer.co.uk holds an SSL certificate with Shopwired. Credit card payments are handled by Stripe and therefore no credit card details are stored by Tiny Pioneer. Stripe has its own Privacy Policy for which Tiny Pioneer is in no way responsible. We also accept PayPal payments and again, credit card details are not stored by Tiny Pioneer. Stripe and PayPal have staff and servers outside of the UK and European Economic area and we therefore recommend you to read their own privacy and cookie policies and terms and conditions for more detailed information.

The transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure and therefore we cannot guarantee the security of data sent to us electronically and the transmission of such data is entirely at your own risk. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password so that you can access certain areas of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential.
